When I first visited Copasetic, more than two years ago, they had just opened and their brunch menu offered very simple, but lovingly prepared and carefully thought out dishes for a public with food intolerances.
A few weeks ago I returned to the place, and I left impressed by the incredible changes that have taken place on their brunch menu. The focus remains the same, and the menu specifies if the dish is vegetarian or vegan, and whether or not it contains gluten, lactose, nuts, or mustard/celery.
Amongst the various brunch options there are some set menus that include a hot drink and a juice.
We tried the Greek brunch which comes with scrambled eggs with feta and tomatoes, that were to die for! We also had the kale eggs – baked eggs with kale and a lemony flavour, which they serve with bread and potatoes. We finished with pancakes with caramelised apple and mascarpone, which came in a portion of three pancakes and delicious apples.
If you are looking for a gluten and lactose-free brunch, Copasetic offers one from Tuesday to Friday from 10:30am to 4pm (4:30pm on weekends).
The café’s decor hasn’t changed much in the two years since I was last there. There’s now a communal table at the far end though, and wall art which you can buy if you like – it’s actually an exhibition.
Finally, I want to add that at Copasetic they still do suspended coffee. Don’t know what that is? Well if you look at the original post about Copasetic, I’ll tell you all about it.
This brunch was not only delicious, but also very special because I enjoyed it in very good company. You know that I love to go for brunch with other bloggers to share advice and suggestions. You remember when I went for brunch with Angela?
At Copasetic I met up with Kat, the writer of the blog El sabor de lo bueno (The taste of the good stuff), who took the opportunity to interview me for the new section on her blog. On her page you’ll find recipes, recommendations, advice and travel stories – and now interviews too. Kath is also a wonderful photographer, as you see if you check out some of the photos in this article. I’m sure that you’ll also become a big fan of her blog!
