It’s probably one of the most popular places to have brunch in Barcelona. In the heart of Raval, very close to the MACBA, you will have the opportunity to taste pancakes and eggs benedict.
It is quite easy to reserve a table at Dostrece, you can either call or do it directly on the web. The establishment has two floors, the one in the entrance has several tables, a large counter and there is a lot of light that enters through the large windows. At the end of the bottom floor, you can find a large television, several mirrors, wooden floors with low tables and poufs, couch and tables, but there are no windows, nor natural light. They reserved us a table in the bottom floor, which looks great if you want to have dinner or to have a drink at night, but on a typical sunny day in Barcelona, I don’t think anyone would like to have brunch in a dark place. We ordered eggs benedict, eggs florentin and pancakes. The latter looked delicious and with soft texture, they were very tasty. The eggs, however, were quite small and had the hollandaise sauce toasted on top, which gave it a rather dry consistency. We did not have to wait too much for them to take our order, but the waitress that assisted us seemed to be hungover and was quite rude. Since it is so popular, it is probably one of the places to eat brunch in Barcelona where one has to go at least once, but be sure to ask for a table on the top floor and book a table in advance.
