Brunch with pancakes in Alsur Café’s terrace

A pretty big place, tables, couches, high tables, shared table and terrace, cakes, pastries, cocktails, food and brunch. You can find all of this at Alsur Café in one of the nice plazas in Borne.

The weather in Barcelona in middle November allows the restaurants still to open their terraces, and so was the Alsur Café’s terrace, the Sunday we went to try its brunch.
We were able to reserve a table. At midday, when we arrived, the place was pretty quiet and from then on we saw families, couples, groups of friends, loners with their laptops, locals and foreigners coming and going. The friendly waiters, even though very busy, brought us pretty quickly the caffè latte, which is a big glass with coffee, milk and foam, difficult to find in Barcelona. Fans of juices will have a hard time to decide which of the many fruits to choose. The possibility to mix two different types will come in handy. The food we ordered included pancakes with maple syrup and red fruits, florentine eggs with spinach, salmon, chees sauce, dill and capers and some crumbled eggs with toasts, butter and jam on the side. The food was well presented and very delicious. As my friend noted, the dish with eggs and toasts is recommendable, since you have something savoury and something sweet. You simply have to choose with which one to start. The place is very spacious, has wide windows and a nice decoration, which makes it a very sociable place to gather. The music works as a nice background to relaxing conversations and the restrooms have a designer decoration.
The cakes and the pastries at the counter are very tempting and bring you to add a mental bookmark, like: when can I come back for a coffee and cake?

It’s always recommendable to book your table to save time and money. Specially on weekends.
