Summary:

One of the best brunch in town, in a cosy place located in neighbourhood Sant Antoni. A clean space with geometrical lines offers high quality food and a friendly service .

Brunch in Federal Cafe terrace - Morning bacon Burger With its over 3000 fans on facebook, Federal Café is one of the most famous cafes in Barcelona, where you can enjoy delicious food in a beautiful environment. Located in the neighbourhood Sant Antoni, close to the old market, the name of this place comes from a small town in Australia. Three floors in total, a communal table in the first one with beautiful flower decorations on it, wall benches in the second and a quiet terrace, full of green plants, on the third. In summer the downstairs’ retractable windows are completely opened and people can comfortably sit on the benches and enjoy the view of the street and its pedestrians. In winter the terrace upstairs is heated by outdoor heaters and if you are still cold you can grab one of the soft blankets available for customers. If you want to enjoy their brunch on Sunday be sure that you don’t arrive there too hungry, the wait for a seat is long, but it’s absolutely worth it. You are not the person, who starts the day with eggs?  No worries, you can begin with some cereals, toast or croissant, sweet or savoury… We decided to enjoy a morning bacon burger and eggs al horno with English bacon, crème fraîche and two big toasts with a little olive oil on it, accompanied with a tea and an ecological apple juice. Everything had an absolutely divine taste and for only 20€ in total, which I consider being a good value for a place with a casual and informal vibe that makes you feel home.
